In cold or freezing temperatures, wet socks are the feet's worst enemy as moisture pulls heat away from the skin 23 times faster than air. Moisture can reduce skin temperature so rapidly that wet feet feel painfully cold and are much more susceptible to frostbite.
The new Drymax V3 Cold Weather Running Socks have a special Dual Layer Moisture Removal System that instantly moves moisture from the skin through the inner Drymax layer to the outer absorbent layer. Staying dry is your best chance to remain warm and comfortable in cold weather.
Drymax fibers have the lowest thermal conductivity of fibers used to make socks. Therefore Drymax fibers can keep feet warmer than other fibers because they conduct less heat away from the skin.
Drymax Cold Weather Running Socks are knit with Hollow Core polyester fibers on the outside to increase overall insulation. However, due to the wind chill factor, the front part of the leg tends to get the coldest so we added a third layer of Drymax fiber insulation along the leading edge of the sock.
"Drymax socks take a different approach to blister prevention. Rather than using simple wicking fabrics, Drymax employs a unique hydrophobic construction to ensure blister-free feet. Drymax socks herald a new era in the battle of the blister."
